Discourse Analysis of Martyred General Hajj Qassem Soleimani with an Emphasis on Her Will

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the management discourse of martyr Haj Qasim Soleimani. In this research, the texts of 100 interviews, speeches, biographies, notes, memoirs and wills of martyr Hajj Qassem Soleimani regarding his management and command style in three periods of holy defense, security of southern Kerman province and defense of the shrine were studied. In this research, discourse analysis was done based on Fairclough's method. After data collection, data content analysis (extracting and formulating research questions, selecting data or text, rewriting or implementing text, identifying themes and coding and analyzing data) was done. Using NVivo software, thematic and content analysis of the texts was done. In this way, the main themes and axes of the management discourse were extracted based on their repetition. Finally, 6 organizing themes, rationality and intelligence, transformation, expertise and commitment, sincerity on the battlefield, pragmatism, responsibility, related to the management discourse of Haj Qasim in the period Holy Defense; 4 themes of the organizer, defending the people with contingency management, safeguarding the values of the revolution, creating stable security, establishing peace between the clans of the region related to Haj Qasim's management discourse on the security of the south of Kerman province and 6 themes of the organizer, establishing security in the region, not being silent in Against arrogance, anti-tyranny against oppressors, common Islamic identity, use of movement diplomacy and unity of religions and ethnic groups, Haj Qasim's management discourse in defense of the shrine includes.
